Your shop’s data stays your shop’s data.
This is a plain-language summary for the GirderLab pilot, not a substitute for a reviewed privacy policy.
What stays on the device
Sales, stock, customers, credit, cheques and settings are written to a local SQLite database on the counter device. The app works without sending that data anywhere.
What can leave the device
If you pair the shop to the cloud, the app sends the commands needed for sync, and can upload a checksummed snapshot for backup. The pilot cloud service is operated for the pilot shop only. Backups are encrypted in transit by HTTPS; snapshot files are not end-to-end encrypted at rest in the pilot.
What we do not do
No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics scripts and no selling of shop or customer data. The marketing site uses no third-party trackers.
Your choices
You can use the app entirely offline, export a backup at any time, and ask us to delete pilot cloud snapshots. Write to hello@girderlab.com.
